It gets very hot and humid here in San Felipe during the summer months and I thought of buying a little place in the mountains to spend those months where it is cooler and more comfortable, maybe someplace big enough for a garden and some fruit trees. So I have been shopping for this place. I met someone who has a home for sale in San Matias Baja Mx. This community is in a mountain valley about an hour from here or about 60 miles. There isn’t much to the community that has only 200 or so residents there is a very small restaurant and a couple of small family operated grocery stores. About 5 or 6 miles away is a bigger town with a lot more stores and services including two gas stations, grocery store, pharmacy with a doctor, building supply businesses and other businesses common to a rural town in Mexico.
Here are two houses I looked at:

There may be other possibilities in the area so further investigation is needed. I had lunch in Valle Trinidad a town about five or six mile away the town has several restaurants, stores, two gas stations, pharmacy with a doctor and a well equipped grocery stores here are some photos.
