Busy cleaning up after the haboob

All day today I was working on cleaning up the mess from the haboob (Sandstorm) the sand, dirt and dust is everywhere and it took hours to get it cleaned up. I know I’ll have to clean again several times to get it all. The window in my bathroom was not very tightly fitted and I had a pile of sandy dirt in my shower and dust all over the bathroom. Some of my plants have been smothered by sand and it will take me a while to uncover them and save them, I hope. Some of the neighbors lost some plants and trees and they were busy cleaning up like me.

Didn’t sleep well last night with the wind storm howling around the house and neighborhood. So I have been dragging around this afternoon as it seems my batteries are drained. Hopefully tonight I will get a good night’s sleep as I have a doctor’s appointment in the am to check whether the infection is gone or is still there. Hopefully the infection is gone.

I keep finding more dirt, damn, I hate spending time cleaning and then finding more dirt 😦

  1. We had high winds in Phoenix yesterday as well. I had just cleaned all the windows in the rig, now all of them look like cramp again and we are leaving in the morning.

    • Speaking of windows I was just doing dishes in the sink when I noticed some more dirt in the corners of the window and windowsill, ugh more cleaning to do later, not tonight.

  2. I hope you got a good report from your doctor. Sometimes we worry especially when we are alone.
Wish you the best. That sand storm sounds terrible. I have heard so many bad storms the past few days and very high winds. RV Sue was saying last night she was getting ready for high winds. One of the rv bloggers Andy lost his trailer and his vehicle damaged in high winds and ice storm. You may have read about it. He had winds of 90 miles a hr. Lucky he survived it. He was alone also. You wonder what would happen and how people would know if something happens to you in situations like that. Been trying to save up for a small rv, but something always gets in the way. This time I am driving up to N.H. to see my fist great grand daughter. She was born 4/9/13 at 3lbs. 11 oz. She is a month old today and is almost 5 lbs. Just a peanut. So I will be driving and you know how much that cost in gas. Probably be staying for about a month visiting different family member. I will wait and see your next report on your health and I pray all will be great.

  3. Enjoy your visit and holding your new granddaughter they are so precious when they are infants. Enjoy what you can when you can every day is a gift.
